Kayachikitsa, also known as internal medicine, is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda, a traditional system of medicine that originated in India thousands of years ago. This branch of Ayurveda deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases that affect the internal organs and systems of the body.

Kayachikitsa is based on the principle that the human body is made up of three doshas or energies: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. When these energies are in balance, the body is healthy. However, if they become imbalanced, it can lead to disease. The goal of Kayachikitsa is to restore the balance of the doshas and promote overall health and well-being

Kayachikitsa is a holistic approach to medicine that focuses on treating the whole person, rather than just the symptoms of a disease. By restoring balance to the doshas and promoting overall health and well-being, Kayachikitsa can help to prevent disease and promote longevity.
