Nootan Ayurvedic College & Research Centre, Sankalchand Patel University, organized an Expert Lecture on “Research Awareness and Evidence-Based Ayurveda: Orientation” as part of the Transitional Curriculum (Ayurpraveshika-2025) on 06 December 2025.
The session aimed to create awareness among newly admitted students regarding the importance of research methodology, scientific validation, and evidence-based practices in Ayurveda. The programme emphasized the integration of traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern research approaches.
The expert session was delivered by Dr. Poona Nath Chouhan, Consultant, Department of Shalya Tantra and Coordinator Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, NACRC. Dr. Chouhan discussed the scope of research in Ayurveda, importance of evidence generation, clinical documentation, and encouraged students to develop a research-oriented mindset from the early stages of their academic career. It successfully sensitized participants towards the role of research and evidence-based practices in strengthening the global acceptance of Ayurveda.
