An International Seminar on “Daiwavyapashrayachikitsa and Home Therapy” was successfully organized by Sankalchand Patel University, the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, Visnagar and Nutan Ayurvedic College and Research Centre (NACRC) at the University Campus.
Scholars, researchers and health science students from India and abroad participated enthusiastically in this seminar. More than 100 national and international paper and poster presentations were held in the program, which shows the growing academic awareness towards the Indian knowledge system and traditional health science, Ayurveda.
The main attraction of the program was the international scholar Dr. Ulrich Burke who came from Germany.
Dr. Burke is a renowned researcher on home therapy and Agnihotra. He delivered a keynote address on “Home Therapy: Vedic Therapy, Environment and Human Welfare” and demonstrated the Agnihotra method. He gave detailed guidance on the relationship between Vedic fire-based therapy and environmental balance, which was highly appreciated by the scholars present.
The inaugural session was attended by the Honorable President of the Institute Shri Prakash Patel, Provost Dr. P. M. Udani, Registrar Dr. Parimal Trivedi, Director of Health Sciences Dr. J. R. Patel, Deputy Director and Chief Coordinator Dr. Muraleedharan, and Principal of Nutan Ayurvedic College Dr. Smita.
Along with this, all the Deans, Directors, Heads of institutions, and HODs of the University were also present. In addition, professors from various colleges of Gujarat also attended the seminar.
In his address, President Shri Prakash Patel expressed his commitment to integrate the Indian knowledge system with research and higher education. In the special sessions, Vaidya Dharmendra V. Patel gave guidance on the use of naturopathy in complex and rare diseases. Dr. Muralidharan A. K., Dr. Smita and Dr. Shreyansh Pachore of the institute highlighted the clinical experience, modern research directions and future prospects.
The program concluded with paper and poster presentation sessions. Through which an important attempt was made to connect traditional knowledge with modern research.
This impressive educational event was possible due to the guidance of Honorable President Shri Prakash Patel, active cooperation of the university dignitaries, and enthusiastic participation of scholars from across India, for which the organizing committee expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all.
