NACRC celebrated the Pragatya din of Acharya charak on 29th July 2025 with great enthusiasm. The program was formed by guest lectures and various competitions among students. The event was planned by the Department of Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit under the guidance of Principal Dr. Smitha. Dr. P.J. Patel, Principal of SPCE, was the guest speaker and he spoke about the topic of “Health is in our hands: Fasting as innovation.” The program was started with the SPU anthem, followed by a Welcome speech by Dr. Sagar Ital, Associate Professor of the Samhita Department. Deep Pragatya and Dhanvantaari Vandana were performed by the hands of dignitaries. Samhita Parayan of C. Su. 9 Adhyay was done. The guest speaker of the event, Dr. P. J. Patel, in his speech mentioned the diet that he follows, guidance that he took for maintaining health, references from Ramacharit Manas that show the importance of the diet in human life, and encouraged the students to do practicals for the theory they learn and document them. later it the competitions were started. The Shloka recitation competition was first conducted, where students showed their skill of shloka memorization. The event was judged by Dr. Vaibhav Bhadane, Dr. Meenakshi Manerikar and Dr. Parul. Poster presentations were done by 7 groups of students, that judged by Dr. Supriya and Dr. Sapna Thakur. A quiz competition was held online where students marked the correct answer for the MCQs given. In the closing ceremony, the winners who achieved 1 and 2nd position in each competition were felicitated with cash prizes. A vote of thanks was given by Alpaben M. Patel. The whole program was anchored by Dr. Roshani Prajapati, Assistant Professor in the Department of Samhita Siddhanta and Sanskrit.
